Mission sits in the western Rio Grande Valley along the river itself, a citrus-growing hub — the city hosts the annual Texas Citrus Fiesta — whose economy and geography are both shaped directly by its position near the Rio Grande floodplain. Hidalgo County shares the Valley's subtropical climate, mild winters paired with intense, humid summer rain, and a caliche-and-clay soil profile affected by a water table that runs closer to the surface here than in most of the rest of Texas given the city's proximity to the river. Mission's rapid population growth in recent decades, extending the city's footprint well beyond its historic citrus-orchard core, means drainage infrastructure quality varies significantly by which era of that growth a given neighborhood was developed in, with newer subdivisions generally carrying more current detention design than the older agricultural-era core. The city's older citrus-orchard-era core carries drainage infrastructure that predates most of Mission's more recent residential growth by several decades.

About Our Approach

Our goal is to be the drainage company that Rio Grande Valley homeowners can call first and trust to give them an honest assessment. We do not push solutions that exceed what the problem requires. We walk the property, tell you what we see, and give you clear options.
